Six world-renowned Japanese architects and two artist will each design a one-of-a-kind pavilion showcasing the future architectural designs and art. The pavilions will be located within a 3km radius of the New National Stadium. Visitors will be able to walk around the area with a map to experience the pavilions on their own.

Established for the project with Watarium Museum of Art as the core. The core Watarium Museum is a private museum opened in September 1990, designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta. Inviting international experts in the creation of exhibitions, the participation of artists who have contributed internationally to the development of contemporary art. In addition to being a place for reexamination of Japan's position in international art, it is also building careful relationships with Japanese and Asian artists.
